Who we are

Light Hardware Supplies Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website, under the GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

• Enquiry and account forms: name, company, email, phone, account number and your message.
• Questions you type to our Ask Sean assistant (please don't include personal details).
• Technical data: anonymised analytics only if you consent to cookies, and form-security checks.

Why and on what legal basis

• Answering enquiries and quotes — legitimate interests and steps before a contract.
• Managing trade accounts and orders — contract and legal obligations (tax, company law).
• Analytics and marketing cookies — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who we share it with

Trusted processors only: website hosting, our secure database provider, email delivery, Cloudflare (spam protection) and, with consent, Google Analytics. We never sell personal data. Any transfer outside the EEA uses Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

Enquiries up to two years; account and transaction records for six years as required by Irish tax law.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Email sales@lhs.ie; we reply within one month. You may complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
